List of Research Centers

The department has established two research centers to support research and innovation activities:

Research Center on Computer Vision and eXtended Reality (xRAI)

Scientific Coordinator: Professor Luigi Gallo. The Research Center on Computer Vision and Extended Reality (xRAI) is an interdisciplinary research hub within the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies at Pegaso University. Our primary goal is to drive advancements in artificial intelligence, computer vision, human-computer interaction, and extended reality. We are committed to pioneering innovations that can impact society, with a special focus on healthcare, cultural heritage, and education.

Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center (AI2C)

Scientific Coordinator: Professor Giuseppe De Pietro. The Center aims to serve as a point of reference for the University, businesses, and public administration in promoting innovation linked to the most advanced Artificial Intelligence technologies. This will be pursued in a conscious, inclusive, efficient, effective, and secure manner. Based on a "Living Lab" operational model, the Center will develop and make available demonstrators based on state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence techniques in various application fields such as medicine, biotechnology, cultural heritage, education, and finance.
